VMY Slovenia: 20 Years of walking towards Jesus with Mary!

Last month of May, the Vincentian Marian Youth Slovenia celebrated their 20th year of existence. This celebration was organized by the members of the VMY with the collaboration of the priests and sisters of Slovenia with the participation of the invited VMY members from Slovaquia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, who were received by the host country and served as part of the celebration whuch was held for three days from May 25-28.

This encounter-celebration was graced by the presence of the VMY International President Yancarlos Carrasco who shared with the young members the pricipal theme of the encounter, explaining and elaborating the goals and plans and topics about our Association. While sharing the different points, the young people could identify themselves with the so-called “good” and “not so good” that we experience from our current society and how to efficiently discern the message of Mary through her son Jesus, since the objective of our Association is in that.

Among the activities prepared by the VMY Slovenia was a festival of artisitc presentations dedicated to Our Mother Mary for the anniversary of the Association. On stage, different young artists of the association showcased, performed songs and dances dedicated to the Vincentian life and to Mary. It was a great experience that brought together many members of the Association who already left and have transferred to other groups, as well as parents and friends of the young members.

It has been twenty years of hard work to carry the Association with life until now. Everything that has been part of this history acknowlegde that it has not been easy to reach this present moment, but they remain confident and they belive that the fruits of the Association can be seen and will continue to have a positive impact to the youth who are members of the Association.
