GENERAL ASSEMBLY

Every five years, delegates from the national association with approved statutes meet together in a General Assembly during which they elect a president and four councilors. These five lay persons form the International Council together with the International Director (who is the superior general of the Congregation of the Mission and the Company of the Daughters of Charity), the International Sub-Director (who is the Director of the International Secretariat), a member of the General Council of the Daughters of Charity and the International Delegate. 

Together they are responsible for guiding the Association on the international level and for implementing the decisions that were made during the General Assembly.
