VMY VIETNAM | SUMMER CAMP ‘IN CHRIST, WE ARE ONE’

The three days of the camp (17-19 July 2023) were indeed brief, but they were sufficient to instill in me new and positive insights. Firstly, I came to better understand myself through the spiritual activities during the camp. I witnessed the wonderful bond of love and unity among all of us, which was truly heartwarming. I also gained inspiration and felt a burning desire to be prepared to dedicate myself to the ideals and aspirations on the path of becoming a young person carrying the mission and youthful spirit of the Blessed Mother, as a true disciple.

I learned so much from everyone. Through the small games we played, we learned significant lessons about mutual support within a group and the importance of unity and solidarity. These valuable lessons will likely be put into practice many times in my own unit, where I am active, and throughout my life. Getting closer to the brothers and sisters in the National and Regional Councils, as well as the friends from units in Lam Dong region, and further expanding our horizons by interacting, learning, and meeting new friends from Duyen Hai region, brought me joy and happiness. I learned from my them as role models in both work and life.

Besides the shared activities of the entire camp, the members of our ‘St. Peter’ team also had time to listen to and share life stories and work experiences in our respective units. Through this, we came to understand each other better, empathize more with each other, learn from one another, and make an effort together. It would be very difficult in any other organization or opportunity outside the VMY Association for us to open our hearts and be so honest with each other.

The camp has come to an end, but the memories remain vivid. I believe these emotions will continue to accompany me throughout the upcoming service journey, helping me become a better young disciple of the Blessed Mother every day.

I am grateful to God, and I thank the Blessed Mother for always being by our side and bestowing grace upon the successful camp. May God and the Blessed Mother continue to love, guide, support, and strengthen our Association, making it even greater and more stable. Thanks to the brothers and sisters for organizing such an enjoyable and meaningful camp. May God and the Blessed Mother bless all of you.
