WITH MARY – PILGRIMS OF HOPE

From August 18 to 25, 2025, a meeting of the Vincentian Marian Youth (VMY) took place in the picturesque village of Antalovtsi in Transcarpathia. This week became a time of special spiritual renewal, new acquaintances, and an experience of living faith for each of us. We gathered from different parts of Ukraine to pray together, learn, share joys and difficulties, and seek God’s presence in an atmosphere of brotherhood, despite the war in our country. This time, we were united by the theme: “With Mary – Pilgrims of Hope.”

Being a pilgrim of hope means not only setting out on a journey, but also walking with the light of faith in daily life, even when things are difficult. Mary has become for us an example of fidelity, trust in God’s will, and quiet but strong support.

Daily conferences led by priests occupied a special place in our meeting program. During these conferences, we reflected on what it means to trust God in difficult times, how to find strength in prayer, and how to share hope with others. The topics of the meetings helped us better understand that true joy comes when we learn to serve others and be there for those in need. We discovered new aspects of Christian life by listening to teachings and participating in discussions. These reflections became an important impetus for inner change and spiritual growth.

In addition to learning and prayer, there was also room for fun and friendly interaction at the meeting: games, contests, and joint activities helped us to become even more united.

Returning home, we took with us not only good impressions and new friends, but also the experience that will help us to be pilgrims of hope in our daily lives. We felt that Mary truly leads us on the path of faith, teaching us to be attentive to the voice of God, courageous in witness, and open to the needs of our neighbors.

We are convinced that this camp was a small but very valuable step on our journey to God. And even when we return to our homes, the light of this meeting will remain with us, helping us to share joy and hope with everyone we meet.
