VMY Bolivia presents its new national logo and neckerchief as a sign of unity
The Vincentian Marian Youth (VMY) of Bolivia continues to strengthen its Marian and Vincentian identity through visible signs that express the communion among young people throughout the country. During the first months of 2026, the National Council officially presented the updated logo of VMY Bolivia and the national neckerchief as part of a process aimed at strengthening the identity of the Association.
This initiative was born from the desire to consolidate a common image that represents all the centers in the country while reflecting the spirit of our Marian, Vincentian, ecclesial, and missionary spirituality.
A Logo That Expresses Our Identity
The new official logo of VMY Bolivia seeks to visually represent the essential elements of our Association.
The logo includes several elements that reflect the identity and history of the Association in the country. These elements were considered based on proposals submitted by members of the Association themselves.
Among its main elements and meanings are:
- The name of the Association, clearly identifying Vincentian Marian Youth.
- The map of Bolivia, a geographical representation symbolizing the presence and mission of VMY throughout the national territory.
- The image of the Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, recognized as founder, guide, and spiritual model of the Association.
- The colors of the Bolivian flag, expressing love and commitment to the nation.
- The year of foundation, recalling the beginning of VMY’s journey in Bolivia and its history of service in the Church.
Each of these elements expresses the desire that young Marian Vincentians live their vocation with a deep sense of identity, faith, and mission.
The central symbol preserves the universal identity of VMY, reminding us of our belonging to an international youth association inspired by the apparitions of the Virgin Mary to Saint Catherine Labouré in 1830 at the Chapel of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal in Paris.
This sign reminds us that the Association is born from the heart of Mary and that its mission is to accompany young people on their journey of faith, formation, and service, following the example of Saint Vincent de Paul and the entire Vincentian Family.
At the same time, the logo incorporates elements that identify Bolivia, highlighting the sense of national belonging and the commitment of young people to live the Marian-Vincentian charism within their own social, cultural, and ecclesial reality.
In this way, the logo expresses the union between the international and the local, showing that VMY Bolivia is part of a large family present in many countries around the world.
The National Neckerchief: A Sign of Unity
Another important moment for the Association was the selection of a national neckerchief to identify all young members of VMY Bolivia.
This process was carried out in a participatory way through a vote among the active centers in the country, who expressed their opinions through a national consultation. As a result of this vote, the majority of the centers chose the light blue color, referring to the mantle of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, a fundamental symbol of our spirituality.
Later, the National Council defined the specific shade of the fabric, establishing turquoise light blue as the official color of the VMY Bolivia neckerchief.
This neckerchief is not only an external element but also a sign of identity, belonging, and commitment. It represents the desire of young people to walk together as one family, living their faith with joy, serving those most in need, and growing in love for Christ through Mary.
A Path That Strengthens the Mission
The presentation of the new logo and the national neckerchief aims to strengthen the identity of VMY Bolivia and promote unity among the different centers throughout the country.
For Bolivian youth, these signs remind them that being part of VMY means living a commitment of faith, formation, and mission, always under the protection of the Miraculous Medal and following the spirit of Saint Vincent de Paul.
With hope and joy, the young members of VMY Bolivia continue walking together, bringing the Marian-Vincentian charism to their communities and enthusiastically proclaiming their motto:
“To Jesus with Mary.”
